Anita Kaasbøll
Anita Kaasbøll was born in 1978 and lives in Trondheim. She is educated at the Jazz Conservatory in Trondheim, during which she has been studying voice and improvisation with teachers like John Pål Inderberg, Eldbjørg Raknes and Elin Rosseland. Completing her master degree in 2006, she is a promising participant at the Norwegian improv scene.
Recent years Anita has increasingly been using hardware electronics for processing of her voice. This has become an important part of her very own sound, leading to a great possibility of soundscapes.
Current working ensembles
Kaasbøll/Duch. Anita has been collaborating with bass player Michael Duch since 1997. Their improvised music consists of an acoustic platform with supplements of an electronically altered voice. The duo has been working with musicians like Nikos Veliotis (G), David Stackenäs (S), Martin Küchen (S), Ivar Grydeland (N) and Lasse Marhaug (N), and has played venues throughout Europe.
Bladed. This is Anita with Stian Westerhus (N) on the baritone guitar and electronics doing BLADED music with contemporary lyrics. Bladed is sludge noise rock from the north!
Anita appears on the following SOFA-releases
