
Michel Doneda
Michel Doneda (b. 1954) is a self-taught musician and he has been active on the European scene for improvised music since 1980. He has played with several Europeans musicians: Fred Van Hove, Phil Wachsmann, Max Eastley, Steve Beresford, and American musicians: John Zorn, Elliott Sharp, Elvin Jones.
In 1985 he made his first record under his own name: TERRA. At the same time he started to play regularly with Le Quan Ninh, Daunik Lazro, Benat Achiary, Martine Altenburger, Barre Phillips, Paul Rogers, Tetsu Saitoh and Kazue Sawai.
The last years he has also performed with Keith Rowe, Bhob Rainey, Giuseppe Ielasi, Alessandro Bosetti, Fabtice Charles, Xavier Charles and has worked with the butoh dancers Masaki Iwana and Yukiko Nakamura. For many years he has been involved in the international improvised music scene, and done tours and festivals in Africa, Japan, Asia, Canada and Russia.
