Rolf Erik Nystrøm

Rolf Erik was born 23.04.75 in Norway. He is a regular member of the groups:
POING, DOZO, HERO, Plysj, Nystrøm/Snekkestad-duo and No Spaghetti Edition. He
has a remarkable list of performances as soloist:

with Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra performing Bjørn Kruse's «Saxophone Concerto»,
conducted by Arild Remmereit (2000),

with Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra in the same piece, but conducted by Ingar
Bergby (1998),

with the Nowegian Radio Orchestra in my own concerto Atmosphere, conducted by
Christian Eggen (1994),

Nystrøm has also played Eivind Buene's sax concerto "Deaths and
Entrances" in Helsinki with the Sibelius Academy Sinfonietta (2000),

Soloist with the Royal Wind Orchestra in Olav A.Thommessen's Music for Vandales,
(1999 and 2000),

soloist with Oslo Sinfonietta.

He has performed solo-recitals in Warsaw (in 1994 as Norway's representative
in the EBU Young Soloists as first saxophonist ever), in Marbella (2001), Hamburg
& Prague (2000), Abidjan (1995), Gothenburg (UNM-festival 1998), at the Grieghall
in Bergen with own music (1998), at the Bergen Festspill (2000), for the National
Science Council and the Government in Oslo Concerthouse (1999), opened the Art
Industrymuseum's Olympic exhibition for LOOC and the Royals (soloconcert)(1994).
Rolf Erik Nystrøm has also organised soloconcerts in Oslo under the title
«Concept of Sorrows & Dangers» (I, II, III, IV & V) the last years.
