
Tonny Kluften
Tonny Kluften has a highly characteristic approach to the double-bass. Using various bows, sticks and rubber band he is creating a characteristic and distinguished sound. He is playing in a trio with Tony Oxley and Ivar Grydeland, and is co-leading the improvising ensemble «No Spaghetti Edition» — an ensemble that includes and has included most of the leading Norwegian improvisers and improvisers from abroad. He has also played with these fine musicians: Peter Brötzman, Derek Bailey, Pat Thomas, Susie Ibarra, Sunny Murray, Frode Gjerstad, Axel Dörner, Jarle Vespestad, Paal Nilssen-Love, Helge Sten, Erik Balke, Ingebrigt Flaten, Christian Wallumrød, Håkon Kornstad, Trygve Seim, Rolf Erik Nystrøm, Arve Henriksen, Ingar Zach, Maja Ratke, Ivar Grydeland, Frode Haltli, Bjørnar Andresen, Per Oddvar Johansen.
